Our Mission
The Economic Development Committee is dedicated to fostering awareness, dialogue, and support for the work of the United Nations with a specific focus on matters related to economics and economic development.
In fulfilling this mission, the committee organizes fundraising, social, and educational events, produces white papers, and cultivates discussion and debate about development-related issues that currently challenge our world.

Cultivating Discussion and Debate
Discussion and debate are the seeds for change. The Economic Development Committee welcomes all viewpoints and perspectives on issues related to the development of our global community. Aside from organizing events, we also strive to engage experts and laypeople alike in an interactive blog-style forum by posting topics for everyone to discuss and debate. In addition, our blog includes postings by people who are considered authorities on specific development related subjects who are invited to write about their experiences, knowledge, and points-of-view.
